Janey's girl is a book that I found wandering through the library one day. It's about a girl who lives in Toronto with her single mother, who is a very monotone, uptight person who likes to make desicions for her daughter.

When they go on vacation to her mother's hometown, she discovers more than she asked for. She finds her father and herself/5(11). I've read this book two or three times as a teen. It's a lovely book about a young girl who returns to her mother's hometown to visit her grandmother.

She is known in the town as her mother's daughter, Janey's girl, though she knows no-one. She meets her dad, the man who once loved her mother/5. Friesen's first novel is a hymn to the power of forgiveness.

Her positive energy gives the book a bright vibe, the book. She goes to the music room, removes a heavy green book from the piano bench and places it on the polished music stand.
